BASIC INCOME

The destructive aspects of poverty upon the ability of people to live happy and free lives is becoming more and more obvious, it speaks to the need for eliminating poverty by the most direct and efficient manner possible.  One of the most direct and efficient ways to do this is called basic income, it functions as a basic and simple social safety net, providing families who need it with a small subsidy to cover basic necessities like food, housing, medicine, ect.  By turning no one away the system uses a minimum of oversight and management, the money saved by this aspect will be more than enough to cover what exploitation of the system occurs.  By integrating basic income, you would effectively end poverty motivated crime and save huge amounts of money currently being used for enforcement and imprisonment.
